Lewis (11-2 MMA, 2-0 UFC) will meet Matt Mitrione (7-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) in a heavyweight tussle when the UFC returns to Connecticut for UFC Fight Night 50 in early September. UFC officials announced the new booking on Wednesday night, just three days after Lewis called Mitrione out. UFC Fight Night 50 takes place Sept. 5 at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Ledyard, Conn. It’s a rare Friday night show for the UFC – and falls on the same night as Bellator 123 in nearby Uncasville, less than 10 miles away.
