However, neither age nor the weight of carrying the underrepresented Italian flag seemed to faze the promotional newcomer. After submitting Brazilian jiu-jitsu expert Alberto Uda (9-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC) in the first round of their middleweight scrap, Vettori (11-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) brushed off any pressure that might come with his unique position.
