Conor McGregor never has been one to pass up the opportunity to strike when the iron is hot. So naturally, it didn’t take McGregor long to call out lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov after his third-round submission victory over Dustin Poirier on Saturday at UFC 242. In a tweet Saturday evening, McGregor (21-4 MMA, 9-2 UFC) called for a rematch against his Russian rival, Nurmagomedov (28-0 MMA, 12-0 UFC) – nothing new. However, the Irish challenger called for the fight, if it were to take place for a second time, to occur in Nurmagomedov’s backyard of Russia
