LAS VEGAS – It’s been a tough road for Peter Barrett to get to the top. On Tuesday night at Dana White’s Contender Series 26, he earned a UFC contract in another tough battle, this time inside the cage. He was tripped to floor in the first round of his lightweight contest with Sang Hoon Yoo, and his opponent unloaded a barrage of punches, forcing the referee to take a close look. Barrett was able to get out eventually but got caught in a deep armbar. He was able to somehow break free and eventually resorted to his wrestling to get him out of the early trouble. “I was prepared for that type of war,” Barrett told MMA Junkie and other reporters after the fight.
