BRIDGEPORT, Conn – Alejandra Lara moved up to bantamweight and snapped a two-fight losing streak by defeating Taylor Turner at Bellator 225, then said she is ready to take on the challenge of being a rising star of Bellator’s women’s divisions. The 25-year-old Lara (8-3 MMA, 2-2 BMMA) finished Taylor Turner (4-6 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) in the opening round after an impressive display at the Webster Bank Arena. And, speaking to the media backstage after her win, the Colombian flyweight said things panned out exactly as she had hoped for. “This fight ended as I expected. It was perfect,” she said.
