The Rizin ring lands in Nagoya, Japan as Dolphins Arena plays host to Rizin FF 18, featuring the return of arguably the biggest star in the promotion. Two-promotion bantamweight world champion Kyoji Horiguchi is set to take center stage in the night’s main event as he faces off against Kai Asakura in a non-title headliner. Horiguchi (28-2 MMA, 9-0 Rizin MMA) twice defeated Bellator star Darrion Caldwell to capture first the inaugural Rizin bantamweight title, then the Bellator 135-pound strap. He gets a night off from title defense duties, but will be determined to extend his win streak to 14 with victory against Asakura (12-1 MMA, 4-0 Rizin MMA),. Also set for non-title action is Rizin super-atomweight world champion Ayaka Hamasaki, who returns to action looking to showcase her skills in a three-round fight against emerging Thai contender Suwanan Boonsorn, who is billed in Japan under the name of “Amp The Rocket”.
