LAS VEGAS – Brazilian middleweight Andre Muniz returned for a second bite of the apple at Dana White’s Contender Series, and his reward was a UFC contract. Muniz (18-4) had to weather an early storm against an aggressive Taylor Johnson (5-1) before swiftly transitioning to his opponent’s back and locking up a rear-naked choke to secure an emotional victory in less than two minutes. On the heels of his triumph at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Muniz replayed the fight from his perspective as he recalled Johnson’s bull-rushing opening to the bout.
