EDMONTON – Cris Cyborg wants to maintain focus on Saturday’s UFC 240 co-headliner with Felicia Spencer, but she found a little time to respond to UFC president Dana White at the pre-fight media day. On Wednesday, White spoke to the media in Las Vegas and doubled down on his certainty that Cyborg (20-2 MMA, 5-1 UFC) wants no part of a rematch with Amanda Nunes (18-4 MMA, 10-1 UFC), who took her women’s featherweight title in a 51-second knockout at UFC 232 in December. Cyborg is on the cusp of being a free agent, and White insists she doesn’t want to fight Nunes again . He even said he would sign a rare one-fight deal with Cyborg (with an automatic extension clause if she becomes champion), but the Brazilian said she’s not taking that seriously. Ultimately, she feels anything that comes out of White’s mouth in relation to her is untrue.
