Juan Adams really wanted a fight with Greg Hardy . Not only did he call out the former NFL All-Pro player, but he made sure to mention Hardy’s status as a convicted domestic abuser early and often in the run-up to their fight. But while the grudge angle between the two garnered more heat than anything else in the lead-up to UFC on ESPN 4, once they stepped into the cage, things went like nearly every other time Hardy has competed in mixed martial arts. Hardy (5-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) made short work of Adams (5-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) on Saturday night in San Antonio, needing just 45 seconds to earn a TKO victory. The American Top Team fighter now has first-round knockouts in all five of his pro victories and all three amateur victories. Hardy drilled Adams with a jab early, and Adams responded with a single-leg takedown attempt, which ended up with Adams on his hands and knees
