LONDON – Aaron Chalmers bounced back from his first career loss, scoring a second-round submission win over Fred Freeman at Bellator Europe 3 in London. The former reality TV star Chalmers (5-1 MMA, 2-1 BMMA) is usually happy to stand and trade, but ever since his loss to Corey Browning, a fight in which he was controlled on the ground and submitted, he made sure to work on his wrestling, and he proved that with a triangle-choke submission Saturday at The SSE Arena, Wembley. “I didn’t really know what Fred was going to bring,” Chalmers said in the post-fight media scrum. “I didn’t know if he was going to stand and bang; I just didn’t know. I watched some of his fights, and every fight was a bit different, so we just trained in every aspect.
