Invicta FC 33 took place Saturday night at Kansas City Scottish Rite in Kansas City, Mo., and streamed on UFC Fight Pass. It was perhaps, as play-by-play announcer T.J. De Santis suggested, the best Invicta FC card of the year. In the main event, Jinh Yu Frey was successful in defending her atomweight title with a narrow split-decision win over Minna Grusander , who pushed the champ to the max. That was just one of several gutsy performances on the night. Invicta FC 33 also featured the fastest knockout in the promotion’s history as Chantel Coates opened the show with a 28-second finish of Ashlynn Kleinback .
