Kamaru Usman is in some rarefied air right now in the UFC – and he may be on the cusp of a title shot. It’s not all the time a fighter starts a UFC tenure with as many as eight straight wins without a loss, but that’s where Usman (13-1 MMA, 8-0 UFC) finds himself ahead of his TUF 28 Finale main event against former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos (28-10 MMA, 17-8 UFC). But the question is, would a win over dos Anjos, which would give Usman a 9-0 welterweight record in the UFC, be enough to get a title shot with champ Tyron Woodley? The Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale takes place Friday at Pearl Theatre at The Palms in Las Vegas.
