In the main event, Anthony Smith (31-13 MMA, 7-3 UFC) continued his march toward a light heavyweight title shot, when he stayed perfect in the weight class with a third-round submission of Volkan Oezdemir (15-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC), who fought for UFC gold earlier this year. The rear-naked choke finish from Smith wrapped up a 13-fight card.
