After his unanimous-decision defeat to Edgar (23-6-1 MMA, 17-6-1 UFC) in Saturday’s FS1-televised co-headliner at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, N.J., Swanson (25-9 MMA, 10-5 UFC) posted a statement on social media. He expressed positive sentiments toward his opponent and vowed to rebound (via Instagram ): Well not the outcome I was looking for but that’s the fight game. Congrats Frankie & I’m sorry to hear about your father To all my supporters “Thank you so much & I promise to come back stronger!” Swanson’s loss to Edgar marked the second in their two meetings.
