Despite a knockout loss to Eddie Alvarez in a “Fight of the Year” candidate at UFC 207, Gaethje (18-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) insists he’s still the same force in the octagon in advance of a meeting with Dustin Poirier (22-5 MMA, 14-4 UFC). “Before Eddie landed that knee, I was never in serious trouble,” Gaethje told MMAjunkie Radio. “He did land some good body shots that did hurt my body for five, 10 seconds, but I was able to recover fast.
