Filed under: Featured , News , UFC New details on the boxing match between Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor have surfaced after the mega-fight’s confirmation earlier today. UFC President Dana White told ESPN’s “SportsCenter” the bout will take place Aug. 26 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, with Mayweather and McGregor strapping on 10-ounce gloves for a 12-round fight at 154 pounds, or the super welterweight class in boxing. Mayweather (49-0 boxing) fought a large portion of his boxing career as a lightweight, while McGregor (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) is the UFC’s champion at 155 pounds. As earlier reported, the Nevada State Athletic Commission approved an event request from Mayweather Promotions to hold a boxing event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
