When word started to surface that Georges St-Pierre would be making a UFC comeback, there were plenty of guys willing to welcome the former welterweight champion after a nearly four-year layoff. Stephen Thompson , however, was not one of them . After it was announced that St-Pierre would forego trying to reclaim the welterweight throne he never lost and instead challenge Michael Bisping for the middleweight title, Thompson was especially pleased. It meant he didn’t have to worry about fighting his longtime friend with whom he’s trained in the past.
