Patricio Freire waited 17 months to avenge a loss to Daniel Straus . When he got ahold of Straus’ neck, he didn’t let go. In a fourth fight with Straus, “Pitbull” cinched a guillotine choke to take back the featherweight title in the headliner of Bellator 178. The event took place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., with main card fights airing on Spike after prelims on MMAjunkie. Both Straus (24-7 MMA, 11-4 BMMA) and Freire (26-4 MMA, 14-4 BMMA) brought physical baggage into the bout. Straus badly broke his left hand winning the belt in November 2015, and Freire broke his right leg this past August in an ill-fated trip to lightweight against ex-UFC champ Benson Henderson.
