Kelly, with his knee heavily taped and in a brace, found a way to counter Evans’ speed and athleticism advantage with some nifty counter punches, en route to an upset split-decision win to spoil Evans’ middleweight debut. The middleweight bout was part of the main card of UFC 209 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass.
