LAS VEGAS – Luke Sanders had several opportunities to put Iuri Alcantara away, and he nearly succeeded. Alcantara (35-7 MMA, 9-4 UFC) only had one good chance, but he made the most of it, rolling into a kneebar that forced Sanders (11-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) to tap at the 3:13 mark of Round 2. The bantamweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 209 event at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It aired on FS1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on pay-per-view.
