Satoshi Ishii tasted the power of Muhammed Lawal early in the heavyweight main event of Bellator 169 and he did not seem to like it. Bellator 169 took place at 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland. It aired on tape-delay on Spike to accomodate local time. Lawal (20-5 MMA, 12-4 BMMA) continued to pick and paw with strikes, keeping Ishii (14-7-1 MMA, 0-2 BMMA) from getting into range and utilizing his judo throughout Round 1. By the end of the opening frame, Ishii was stuck feebly staring at Lawal while the American posed in the middle of the cage with his hands on his hips.
