Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos TORONTO – Longtime UFC featherweight contender Cub Swanson agrees wholeheartedly with the UFC’s decision to strip the 145-pound title from Conor McGregor . Swanson (23-7 MMA, 8-3 UFC), who looks to strengthen his case for a title shot with a win over Dooho Choi (14-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) at UFC 206 on Saturday, said the division was at a standstill with McGregor (21-3 MMA, 9-1 UFC) on top. He said it needed to move forward – something he said couldn’t happen with “The Notorious” holding multiple UFC belts. Now, with McGregor holding just the lightweight belt, Jose Aldo promoted to champion, and Saturday’s UFC 206 headliner set to a crown an interim champ , the 145-pounders can move on.
