Turns out they had to be separated in the middle of the press conference, and it was down-card title fighters Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Karolina Kowalkiewicz who threw UFC boss Dana White for a loop when Jedrzejczyk pushed a headbutt Kowalkiewicz’s way. A trio of title-fight headliners for Saturday’s UFC 205 mega-card got together today for a pre-fight news conference at Madison Square Garden in New York, which hosts the card on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass. Featherweight champ McGregor (20-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) and lightweight champ Alvarez (28-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) fight in the main event for Alvarez’s belt. Welterweight champ Tyron Woodley (16-3 MMA, 6-2 UFC) meets challenger Stephen Thompson (13-1 MMA, 8-1 UFC) in the co-main event. And jsut before them, strawweight champ Jedrzejczyk (12-0 MMA, 6-0 UFC) and Kowalkiewicz (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) clash in the night’s first title fight on a six-fight main card.
