On Saturday at UFC 205, “The Notorious” plans to accomplish his longtime goal of becoming the first simultaneous two-division champion under the UFC banner. McGregor (20-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC), the UFC featherweight champion who challenges Eddie Alvarez (28-4 MMA, 3-1 UFC) for lightweight gold in the UFC 205 main event, which tops the pay-per-view main card following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass at Madison Square Garden in New York, has been chasing a second UFC title since he captured the 145-pound belt from Jose Aldo at UFC 194 in December. He’s just days away from fighting Alvarez, and if he wins, McGregor said he knows exactly what it would mean for his legacy.
