MANCHESTER, England – For one round, UFC newcomer Marc Diakiese encountered his nightmare in the octagon – getting smothered by Lukasz Sajewski . But Sajewski (13-3 MMA, 0-3 UFC) came with exactly one round’s worth of energy, giving striking specialist Diakiese (10-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) free reign to use his opponent as a punching bag until he expired in the second round. The lightweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 204 event at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. It aired on FS1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of the main card on pay-per-view.
