Phil “ CM Punk ” Brooks got a large payday for just 134 seconds of work at UFC 203. The former WWE superstar, who made his professional MMA debut against Mickey Gall at this past weekend’s event, netted a cool $500,000 in disclosed salary for his first-round submission loss . The Ohio Athletic Commission today released salaries for UFC 203 , and considering Punk (0-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) made more than Gall (3-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and everyone on the card with the exception of event headliners Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem, the reactions from the MMA community, and fighters in particular, weren’t all that surprising. Check below to see the top Twitter reactions from fighters and other MMA figures following the release of Punk’s UFC 203 salary.
