Former heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum bounced back from losing the title in his last outing by defeating Travis Browne in the UFC 203 co-main event on Saturday in a fight filled with controversy. Browne was hoping to avenge a 2014 loss to Werdum, but ended up on the losing end of a one-sided fight inside the Quicken Loans Arena. Werdum showed no hesitation in his game after suffering a knockout loss to Stipe Miocic in May. At the sound of the opening bell, Werdum charged across the octagon and delivered a flying sidekick to the face of Browne. Throughout the bout, Werdum employed high-risk techniques and outworked his opponent. Midway through the opening round the first controversy happened.
