Massachusetts fighter Devin Carrier , 21, died over the weekend in a single-car crash, less than one week before he was scheduled to compete at Friday’s CES MMA 37 event at Twin River Casino in Lincoln, R.I. The accident was first reported by South Coast Today . “Everyone is very shaken up,” CES MMA rep Ed Kapp stated in an email to MMAjunkie. “He was just 21 years old and was a joy to work with.” CES MMA 37’s main card airs on AXS TV. Carrier (1-1) was expected to face Connor Barry (1-0), who will not get a new opponent for the card, on the evening’s unaired preliminary card. Carrier made his professional debut in November 2015 with a decision loss to Sean Nichols under the Cage Titans FC
