Former UFC middleweight champ Luke Rockhold said a knee injury he suffered in the buildup to his UFC 199 loss to Michael Bisping worsened, and he’s currently doing his best to avoid surgery. Rockhold (15-3 MMA, 5-2 UFC) took to social media today to reveal he’s undergoing stem cell treatments in hopes of a full recovery and eyes a return to training sometime next month. “In case you’re wondering why I haven’t been in the gym lately,” Rockhold wrote. “What was a grade two MCL sprain turned into a grade three somewhere in the process of my last training camp.
