Bellator fans may not remember Philipe Lins , but the light heavyweight fighter says the organization didn’t forget about him while he was sidelined for nearly two years due to a crushing knee injury suffered in the cage. Lins (9-1 MMA, 2-1 BMMA), who returns to action against Guilherme Viana (7-2 MMA, 1-1 BMMA) Friday’s Spike-televised Bellator 159 main card, started his career on a roll with nine consecutive wins, two of which came via first-round submission under the Bellator banner. In his third Bellator appearance, however, Lins suffered his first career loss when he suffered a torn ACL less than two minutes into his Bellator 122 contest against Kelly Anundson in July 2014. There were some other roadblocks on the way to recovery , and because of that, Lins ultimately hasn’t seen action since he went down with the knee injury. He’s back for Bellator 159, though, and is eager to make up lost time.
