LAS VEGAS – Jerrod Sanders controlled Felipe Arantes on the ground for almost the entire fight, but one moment was all the Brazilian needed to shift his hips and lock up a fight-ending armbar. The bantamweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 90 event at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. It streamed on UFC Fight Pass. Related: UFC Fight Night 90 play-by-play and live results Arantes (18-7-1 MMA, 5-3-1 UFC) looked to use jabs and leg kicks early in the fight, but it was a hard punch that dropped Sanders (15-3 MMA, 1-2 UFC) to the mat. Arantes almost landed an illegal knee to a downed Sanders in the ensuing flurry, but settled down in an attempt to lock in an anaconda choke.
