All it takes is one moment in a fight to grab the world’s attention. Cirkunov had his when he wrapped his arm around Alex Nicholson’s jaw in the second round of their UFC Fight Night 82 bout. He squeezed with all his might and an audible pop could be heard over the broadcast. Just like that, Cirkunov went from a rising light heavyweight prospect into “the dude who broke that other dude’s jaw.” He said he’ll gladly take that distinction. “Time to time I hear that guys want to fight me here or some guy wants to challenge me here, but after that performance I didn’t really hear none of that,” Cirkunov told MMAjunkie.
