UFC officials are in need of a welterweight opponent to step up on short notice to face Alan Jouban at UFC Fight Night 90. MMAjunkie today confirmed with UFC officials that injury has forced Nordine Taleb (12-3 MMA, 4-1 UFC) to withdraw from the July 7 event at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena. A replacement foe is now being sought on one month’s notice. While the night’s complete bout order has yet to be released, the entire event streams live on UFC Fight Pass. Jouban (13-4 MMA, 4-2 UFC) looks to return to action following a scintillating win over Brendan O’Reilly at March’s UFC Fight Night 85 event.
