Filed under: Featured , News , UFC Nate Diaz said his meeting with the UFC wasn’t as contentious as reported, although the two sides have some more negotiating to do if a fight with Conor McGregor is to take place, possibility at UFC 202 in August. In an extended interview today on “ The MMA Hour ,” Diaz said a TMZ report claiming UFC President Dana White stormed out of this past Friday’s meeting in his hometown of Stockton, Calif., was “exaggerated,” adding, “it wasn’t the best meeting, but it wasn’t the worst meeting, either.” The same day White and UFC Chairman Lorenzo Fertitta met with Diaz, White told MMAjunkie , “I didn’t have a good day in Stockton.” Diaz said today the UFC asked him to rematch McGregor the day after his second-round submission win over the Irish champ at UFC 196, and the promotion has been hounding him as rumors of a boxing superfight between McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have dominated headlines.
