CURITIBA, Brazil – Mauricio Rua dropped Corey Anderson twice in the first two rounds, then found himself on the wrong end of a storm of takedowns in the third. According to two of the three judges, it was enough to get Rua (24-10 MMA, 8-8 UFC) a win by the narrowest of margins, as he took the split-decision victory over Anderson (8-2 MMA, 5-2 UFC) with scores of 28-29, 29-28, 29-28. The light heavyweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC 198 event at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, Parana, Brazil. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
