Filed under: News , UFC Hey, even Michael Jordan had off nights, as new interim UFC light-heavyweight champion Jon Jones would like to remind you. In Saturday’s UFC 197 pay-per-view headliner, Jones (22-1 MMA, 16-1 UFC) posted a dominant unanimous-decision victory over late notice-opponent Ovince Saint Preux (19-8 MMA, 7-3 UFC). Daniel Cormier lost to Jones in early 2015, but he ultimately won the belt when “Bones’” out-of-the-cage issues forced UFC officials to strip the longtime champ of the belt. Cormier was supposed to rematch Jones, who returned from a 15-month layoff, at UFC 197, but an injury forced “DC” to the sidelines, and Saint Preux stepped as a replacement. It was a bit of a mismatch on paper, and Jones entered Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena as a 7-1 favorite in the interim title fight
