Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC , Videos TAMPA, Fla. – UFC featherweight Cub Swanson contemplated dropping out of Saturday’s UFC on FOX 19 when illness reared its head prior to his weight cut. “I had so many emotions going into this fight,” said Swanson (22-7 MMA, 7-3 UFC) following a unanimous decision over Hacran Dias (23-4-1 MMA, 3-3 UFC) on the event’s FOX-televised main card at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla. “I was sick all week, and after seeing so many people fall off the card, I just knew that that wasn’t a possibility. “But I told my coaches before the weigh-ins, I didn’t know if I could cut the weight, because I was so down on energy.” Swanson wound up hanging in there and giving it one more night.
