The substances that each tested positive for have not been revealed, but multiple sources confirmed the report by MMAFighting.com , which was the first outlet to report the positive test results. Shamrock lost to Royce Gracie in the Bellator 149 main event, so the outcome of his bout would not be changed for testing positive to a banned substance. There was some controversy in how Shamrock’s bout ended, as he argued that it ended due to a low blow that the referee missed, but any challenge of such a finding would be moot if a positive test result for a banned substance were upheld.
