Kotetsu Boku is one of Asian MMA’s most interesting characters. A tattoo covered vegan and aspiring artist, he is not your stereotypical fighter, but the 38-year-old has been holding his own against some of the best fighters in the region for more than 15 years. Boku is currently on track to become the first ever fighter to challenge for ONE Championship titles in two different divisions. He became the inaugural lightweight champion by knocking out Zorobabel Moreira in 2012 and has won two fights out of two since dropping down to featherweight. Featherweight contenders like Herbert Burns and Ev Ting are probably ahead of him, but Boku had an excellent 2015. In May, he snapped the ten-fight winning streak of 20-year-old contender Juntaro Ushiku with a second-round knockout at Pancrase and he followed that with another second-round knockout at ONE: Pride of Lions in November.
