Hugo Viana The main card is set for next month’s RFA 34 event, which features a welterweight title fight. As previously announced, RFA 34 takes place Jan. 15 at 1STBANK Center in Broomfield, Colo., and Benjamin Smith (15-3) and Bojan Velickovic (12-3) fight for the vacant 170-pound title in the main event. New additions to the card include a co-headliner between former RFA title challenger John Poppie (6-2), who was on a 4-0 run before his RFA 28 loss to Andrew Sanchez, and fellow middleweight Adam Stroup (10-2), a longtime Sparta Combat League fighter who had a short run on “The Ultimate Fighter 19” before an elimination-round loss to eventual show runner-up Dhiego Lima. Additionally, Coloradan light heavyweights Jeremy Kimball (11-5) and Cody Mumma (8-2) fight, and Hugo Viana (8-3), a “TUF: Brazil 1” semifinalist, fights for the first time since a 3-3 stint in the UFC when he takes on Zac Riley (3-3), who recently upset Shai Lindsey via 59-second submission on short notice.
