Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo combined for one of the highest priced UFC main events on record. The two featherweight champions (prior to the fight) combined for a total disclosed payroll number of $900,000, with McGregor guaranteed $500,000, win or lose, and Aldo walking away with $400,000 in the loss. Those number, of course, do not take into account any pay-per-view bonuses or any other forms of compensation outside of their bout agreements, which the UFC is required to file with the Nevada Athletic Commission. Despite a middleweight championship bout between Luke Rockhold and Chris Weidman taking the co-main event slot on the card, neither fighter was third on the payroll following the featherweight title fight participants. That distinction went to Urijah Faber , who walked away with $300,000 for his preliminary-bout headlining win over Frankie Saenz
