John Lineker Undefeated UFC bantamweight Cody Garbrandt has pledged to stand and bang with fellow slugger John Lineker . For his part, “Hands of Stone” hopes it’s no empty promise. Garbrandt, the Team Alpha Male fighter who has been cross-training at New Mexico’s famed Jackson Wink MMA Academy, recently told MMA Fighting that he sees the pair’s upcoming UFC Fight Night 82 matchup as a stepping stone. “When I knock him out – when I finish John Lineker – people are going to know I’m legit,” Garbrandt said. “In that fight, I get the opportunity to prove the hype is real, and that’s what I’m going to do.” Lineker saw the quotes and was happy to issue a response.
