The featherweight bout was the co-main event of today’s UFC Fight Night 78 event at Monterrey Arena in Monterrey, Mexico. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Lamas (16-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) showed discipline, refusing to be dragged into a brawl with Sanchez (25-8 MMA, 14-8 UFC) even when he seemed to have a clear upper-hand.
