Then he went upstairs with a kick that left Benitez (18-5 MMA, 2-1 UFC) dazed enough for Fili (15-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) to finish with a barrage of punches, earning him a knockout victory at the 3:13 mark of Round 1. The featherweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 78 event at Monterrey Arena in Monterrey, Mexico.
