Before she signed with the UFC in 2014, Holm’s final fight outside the promotion at Legacy FC 30 ended courtesty of … wait for it … wait for it … yup … a left kick to the head. With that kick and follow-up punches, Holm took out Juliana Werner to win Legacy’s inaugural women’s bantamweight title. Holm (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) never got the chance to defend it, instead heading to the UFC, where she won back-to-back fights by decision before getting her crack at dominant champion Rousey (12-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) this past Saturday at UFC 193 in Melbourne, Australia. Despite massive underdog status, Holm stopped Rousey early in the second round – with a left high kick and a couple punches on the floor. The victory was arguably the biggest upset in MMA history
