Leandro Higo When Leandro Higo fights tonight at RFA 32, he’ll enter the cage with the goal of almost every fighter: earning his way into the UFC. Things are different for Higo (14-2), however. “Pitbull” was so close he could taste it after holding a spot as a cast member on “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 4” before a surprising loss and follow-up injury forced him off the show. After dropping his opening-round bout to Bruno Korea, Higo was given a chance to step in for a fellow cast member who withdrew due to illness. Unfortunately, his body didn’t cooperate , and the early favorite to take the bantamweight tournament was off the show and without a spot on the UFC roster. Despite the setback, Higo said he enters tonight’s main event against Melvin Blumer (12-2), which airs on AXS TV from Mystic Lake Casino Hotel’s Mystic Showroom in Prior Lake, Minn., still looking to achieve his dream of a UFC contract.
