Filed under: News , UFC Dana White agreed with what most judges and nearly every major media outlet had decided: that UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier deserved the decision win over Alexander Gustafsson in this past Saturday’s UFC 192 headliner. In the first successful defense of his title, Cormier (17-1 MMA, 6-1 UFC) outlasted game challenger Gustafsson (16-4 MMA, 8-4 UFC) in the pay-per-view main event at Houston’s Toyota Center. While the major media outlets tracked by MMADecisions.com were almost unanimously in favor of Cormier, the official scorecards were split, with the champ earning 49-46 (judge Kerry Hatley) and 48-47 (Sal D’Amato) scores, and Gustafsson getting a 48-47 from Derek Cleary. “I had it 3-2 Cormier,” White said after the event.
