Namajunas (2-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC), fighting for the first time in 10 months, meets fellow strawweight Angela Hill (2-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in a FOX Sports 1-televised bout, which takes place prior to the pay-per-view main card, at Houston’s Toyota Center. After losing to Carla Esparza in “The Ultimate Fighter 20” tournament final in December, Namajunas was scheduled to fight Nina Ansaroff in May. However, Ansaroff badly missed weight and was ultimately deemed medically unfit to fight, and Namajunas, 23, was left without a dance partner . This time around, though, she’s facing a familiar face in Hill, who was also rushed into the limelight and booked on “TUF 20” despite a still-young MMA career. Most recently, the 27-year-old suffered a decision loss to Tecia Torres in Mexico City and looks to rebound against “Thug.” “I think Angela Hill is great,” Namajunas told MMAjunkie.
