Josh Barnett Once a year still ain’t great for live UFC events in Japan, but UFC Fight Night 75 shows the promotion still has irons in the fire for the “Land of the Rising Sun.” The event serves not only as the octagon’s first trip to Japan since this past September’s UFC Fight Night 52, but as the finale for “Road to UFC,” another international version of “The Ultimate Fighter.” Like the Brazilian version, its fights were filmed in Las Vegas, where costs and crew are easier to manage. But it shows the promotion is still at least trying to develop talent and hopefully expand its foothold in a place where MMA was the cool-kid sport.
