Frank Mir and Andrei Arlovski Despite scorecards of 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27 in Andrei Arlovski ’s favor, UFC President Dana White believes Frank Mir should have won UFC 191’s co-main event. The matchup of former UFC heavyweight champions was promoted as being “more than 10 years in the making,” and in the end Arlovski (25-10 MMA, 14-4 UFC) topped Mir (18-10 MMA, 16-10 UFC) by unanimous decision to win his fourth consecutive contest since he returned to the UFC in June 2014. Arlovski and Mir failed to deliver the memorable bout many hoped for, but they still produced a competitive affair in which Mir landed a key second-round takedown and third-round knockdown that caused plenty to score the fight in his favor . White was among the group that thought Mir secured a win, but the judges didn’t agree. “It wasn’t what I expected it to be, but I actually had Mir winning that fight,” White said on FOX Sports 2’s UFC 191 post-fight show.
